Take to the sky with this compact but very capable quad-copter. A high-resolution RGB (visible light) lens is accompanied by four separate multispectral cameras (green, red, red edge and near infrared). This allows you to see areas impacted by drought, improper drainage, disease or other sources of plant stress, which may not be immediately visible to the naked eye.
More importantly, mapping a field and using software like DJI Terra/Smartfarm or Pix4d can use this data to create prescription maps to use in either a DJI AGRAS drone or a variable rate sprayer. This results in lower overall pesticide use and an improved bottom line.
This drone also qualifies for a 50 per cent rebate under the On-Farm Efficiency Program of the Alberta Government, providing an Environmental Farm Plan has been completed. Full program details and requirements are available here.
